Meet the People Behind AbleNest Foundation
AbleNest Foundation is led by a volunteer board that believes heart and integrity should always work together. We take our responsibility seriously, making thoughtful decisions, stewarding resources carefully, and staying grounded in the mission that brought us here.
Meet Kay
Founder & Board President
Kay is a mom of three, with her youngest daughter diagnosed with Trisomy 18, a journey that reshaped her understanding of access, advocacy, and stability for families navigating disability.
With an Associate Degree in Business and a deep love for technology and web design, Kay combines heart and strategy to build systems that actually serve people. She’s passionate about helping families feel supported, and helping small businesses grow stronger, smarter, and more sustainable.
When she’s not building platforms or brainstorming new ideas, she’s doing what matters most: showing up for her kids.

The Values That Guide Us
Expanding Access.
Empowering Families.
AbleNest Foundation was built on more than a mission, it was built on values. Rooted in lived experience and guided by integrity, we are committed to expanding access, restoring stability, strengthening community, and empowering families to build sustainable futures. These principles influence every program, partnership, and decision we make.
Access
We believe every family deserves access to essential care, adaptive resources, and support, regardless of financial barriers.
Stability
We prioritize long-term stability for families navigating disability, ensuring support systems are sustainable, not temporary.
Community
No family should navigate this journey alone. We are committed to building a supportive and connected community.
Empowerment
We support caregiver-led and special needs small businesses, creating opportunities for economic growth and independence.
Serve With Us.
It Takes a Community.
Behind every program is a volunteer who said yes. If you believe families navigating disability deserve stronger support and greater access, we invite you to serve alongside us. Your time, skills, and heart matter here.
